Free custom laser or waterjet cut part day at Big Blue Saw

Big Blue Saw is having a free part day on August 6. You can create one part to be made from laser cut acrylic or waterjet cut aluminum, just pay shipping. It’s a shame that I don’t have any projects right now that require any custom parts, so I guess I’ll have to order something interesting or artistic. Time to start designing!

UPDATE: My part has arrived!

While I am very happy with the part, the packaging was a joke. The parts were just thrown into an unpadded card stock envelope! There was no protection for the part at all…you’re paying ~$15 for $0.50 of packaging and over a week of waiting for the thing to ship. I sincerely hope this is not their normal standard. Still, $15 for this beauty sounds like a good deal to me!
